REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON CONTRACTOR - MRH CLASSIFICATION AND LICENSING
Fri. 23rd Mar. 2018

In line with the Ministry’s mission of providing an integrated and well-maintained road transport infrastructure and services to meet national requirements and international standards on a sustainable basis, the Ministry is seeking to improve the capacity of Contractors to deliver quality works, through the development of E- portal of the Road Contractor Classification System. This is to streamline the process of license acquisition, renewal and upgrade and to eliminate the negative impact of one Contractor presenting itself variously at the same Bidding process.

To facilitate the process of harmonizing a Contractor’s data, Contractors registered and licensed by the Ministry are required to submit the following information;

Number and Names of firms of which an individual/entity has ownership and/or interest.

Permanent postal address, physical address and telephone numbers of each firm.

List of equipment for each of the firms including the Description, Registration Number, Engine number and Chassis number.

List of core personnel with CV’s engaged in each of the firms.

The Updated database will form the basis for a firm’s participation in the execution of projects in the road sector.

Contractors who fail to provide the requested information may not be eligible to undertake Road and Bridge Contracts awarded by Government.

The format for submitting this information is on the Ministry’s website for download.To download, please go to the Classification Requirement and Guideline page of the Ministry’s website.

The information should be addressed to:
